Day 21: Elk

Thankfully, I was feeling more myself this morning, which made it much more enjoyable to spend the morning in Rocky Mountain National Park.

John and I had originally planned on photographing the sunrise in the park, but we miscalculated when we should leave, so arrived late.  Fortunately, the elk rut is in full swing, providing us with much entertainment as the bulls chased each other and herded their cows.  The fall colors are beginning to show as well, adding touches of golden yellows to our drive.

I’ll likely be returning to Rocky Mountain National Park tomorrow before going to Boulder to meet up with another photographer friend of mine.
