So after meandering my way out of Yellowstone, I did a bit (a LOT) of exploring:
I stopped at a restaurant/gift store/horse stable near Shoshone National Forest for a cup of coffee and chatted with a kid there who comes up yearly to work in the stables. Sweet kid and even sweeter horses.
I visited Buffalo Bill State Park and Buffalo Bill Dam. Beautiful and worth a return trip I think.
I stopped in Cody, Wyoming and ate at Buffalo Bill’s Hotel & Restaurant. The original (gorgeous!) bar given to him by Queen Victoria is still there.
In Ten Sleep, WY I visited Crazy Woman Cafe- staffed by some of the friendliest people I’ve met on this trip.
Drove through the stunning Bighorn National Forest and to Gillette WY.
Reached South Dakota, time for a bit of sleep!
