Lake Louise

The blue of the lake is caused by glacial runoff depositing silt at the bottom of the lake, refracting when the light hits it.  I’ve been told that the color is at its most vibrant in July and August.  Both of my visits have been in September and I never feel as if my photographs do it justice.  Obviously, this has me setting future goals for this location in Alberta, Canada.
